The Aldingbourne Trust

Established in 1978 by a group of parents who realised a joint ambition, The Aldingbourne Trust is a local award winning charity that provides meaningful and valued opportunities for people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
Over the last 40 years, the Aldingbourne Trust has grown and developed into a well respected leading local charity; now supporting over 1,000 adults with learning disabilities across West Sussex and Portsmouth, employing over 300 staff and over 200 volunteers. The Trust have developed and focussed their support within “real life" social enterprises, which provide training within real life settings involving the people they support, their customers and visitors.
By being an enterprising charity and really engaging with local businesses, visitors and supporters, we support adults with disabilities and/or autism to develop and live the lives they choose. The Trust is committed to equal opportunities and overcoming barriers to diversity, supporting people to live independently, providing training and developing skills to lead onto employment within the community.
Our central office is located at the Aldingbourne Country Centre, Chichester. Where we now have our new Quarry Building which offers conference hire facilities, catering and event opportunities.
